Technician

Job Brief:

We are seeking skilled Technicians for Pipeline Coating industry. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in pipe coating processes, technical expertise in protective coatings, and knowledge of pipeline technology. This role involves surface preparation, coating application, quality control, and adherence to industry standards to ensure the integrity and longevity of pipelines. You shall be able to work in offshore as well as onshore projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform pipe surface preparation (cleaning, blasting, priming) and apply coatings as per project specifications.
• Operate and maintain coating equipment, ensuring proper functionality and calibration.
• Conduct quality inspections to ensure coatings meet industry standards (NACE, SSPC, API, etc.).
• Identify and troubleshoot coating defects such as pinholes, cracks, and adhesion failures.
• Work with different coating materials, including fusion-bonded epoxy (FBE); Polyfuse (polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP)) ; Flame spray (polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP)) ; Taper Wrap (PE/Visco) and liquid coatings.
• Assist in the development and testing of new coating techniques and materials.
• Follow health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
• Keep detailed records of coating procedures, inspections, and maintenance activities.
• Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and other team members to ensure project success.

Required Qualification / Experience / Skills:

• Diploma or Certification in Coating Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in pipeline coating, corrosion protection, or related industries.
• Familiarity with automated and manual coating processes.
• Knowledge of pipeline technology, corrosion control, and industry coating standards.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, coating specifications, and work instructions.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in outdoor environments, confined spaces, and high-temperature conditions.

Type of Employment: Permanent / Full time

Salary:  AED 4,500/ Month
