Senior Project Accountant

Are you an experienced Senior Project Accountant with a strong background in financial management, project accounting, and ERP systems? If yes, then you are the one we are looking for!

The ideal candidate will have expertise in budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and compliance to ensure the successful financial management of capital projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Verify new project setup in ERP systems (Oracle/Oracle Fusion/SAP) converted by the Projects Department.
  •  Manage project accounting within Oracle Fusion.
  •  Review new job worksheets, understand project structures and contractual requirements.
  •  Oversee project financials and budgets in coordination with project managers.
  •  Handle project invoicing and receipts to maintain financial accuracy.
  •  Monitor project expenses, cash flow, and financial performance tracking.
  •  Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
  •  Conduct cost analysis and recommend costsaving measures.
  •  Monitor construction project contracts and change orders.
  •  Implement required financial controls to optimize project accounting.
  •  Forecast financial outcomes for projects.
  •  Assist in financial audits related to projects.
  •  Perform monthend closing process for the Project Module in ERP.
  •  Arrange monthly team meetings to review project performance with the finance and projects team.
  •  Provide adequate controls and safeguards over capital/fixed asset accounting.
  •  Identify areas for improvement and recommend costsaving opportunities.
  •  Work with management to assess accounting implications of projects.
  •  Utilize software tools to compile and present reports, graphs, and charts.
  •  Perform other related duties as assigned.

 

Required Qualification / Experience / Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. Master’s degree in Business Administration is preferred.
  • Minimum 10+ years of experience in a fastpaced project accounting environment.

 Technical Skills: 

  •   Expertise in project financial management.
  •    Strong ERP integration/implementation experience (Oracle Fusion preferred).
  •    Knowledge of Oracle Fusion MRP (Finance, Manufacturing, and Purchasing Modules) is an advantage.
  •    Experience in budgeting, actuals, and forecasting.
  •    Strong cost analysis and financial modeling skills (e.g., IRR, NPV calculations).
  •    Experience in financial audits, SarbanesOxley compliance, and financial reporting.

 

Other Skills & Abilities: 

 Strong knowledge of accounting rules and principles.

Excellent analytical, logical thinking, and problemsolving skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Strong project management and leadership skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Availability to travel up to 25% between the US and the Middle East for business purposes.

Must hold a valid passport and be eligible for visa approvals in required locations.

 

Job Location: Saudi Arabia, Al Khobar

Type of Employment: Permanent / Full time

Salary: SAR 10,000 to 12,000/ Month
