Senior Planning Engineer

Job Brief:

Are you experienced in developing and maintaining detailed project schedules, ensuring key milestones are met, and coordinating with stakeholders to align resources? Key Responsibilities:

• Project Scheduling: Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6, ensuring alignment with project scope, budget, and timelines. Establish baseline schedules for each phase of the project
• Progress Monitoring: Track project progress, prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports, and propose corrective actions to address delays. Analyze project performance using earned value management (EVM) techniques and report deviations.
• Productivity Assessment: Review productivity rates for installation activities, benchmark against industry standards, and recommend improvements.
• EOT Claims & TIA: Prepare EOT claims due to project delays and conduct TIA to assess schedule impacts. Participate in negotiations with clients and contractors.
• Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, site engineers, procurement teams, and contractors to ensure smooth project execution.
• Risk Management: Identify potential project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and monitor the impact of delays to recover lost time.
• Documentation and Compliance: Maintain detailed records of all project activities, and changes.
• Continuous Improvement: Regularly review and refine planning processes to improve project efficiency and performance. Train and mentor junior planning engineers. 

Required Qualification / Experience / Skills:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
• Minimum 8+ years in project planning within the construction industry, with at least 3 years in a senior planning role.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Project.
• Experience with cost management, resource allocation, and risk mitigation in large-scale construction projects.
• Proven experience in preparing EOT claims and conducting Time Impact Analysis.
• Experience with productivity assessment for installation activities and site performance analysis.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
