Sales and Service Engineer

Job Brief:

Are you experienced in marine electronics and instrumentation, with a passion for sales and service in the Oil and Gas, Marine, Shipyard, and Yachting industries? The ideal candidate will be responsible for installation, commissioning, maintenance of equipment on customers’ vessels, providing technical support, and driving sales growth. You will work closely with internal teams to ensure seamless execution of service plans and sales initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret 2D CAD electrical schematics.
  • Use and maintain electrical tools, including various cable crimping tools.
  • Conduct fault finding, rectification, and failure investigations.
  • Work with electrical designers to develop and improve product designs.
  • Plan, budget, and report on projects while performing technical evaluations and cost estimates.
  • Consult with departments, suppliers, and service providers on electrical inquiries.
  • Install, troubleshoot, and service maritime navigation and telecommunication systems, including Marine Radar, autopilot, echo sounder, VHF/UHF, MF/HF SSB, and Inmarsat.
  • Prepare sales quotes, proposals, and technical presentations.
  • Build and maintain CRM databases, analyze data, and create sales reports.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to understand customer requirements and provide sales support.
  • Generate sales leads, negotiate prices, secure orders, and arrange deliveries.
  • Research and modify products to meet customer requirements.
  • Address customer concerns, recommend improvements, and log feedback to enhance sales strategies.

Required Qualification / Experience / Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical / Electronics & Communication / Navcom).
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Oil and Gas / Marine / Onboard / Shipyards.
  • Minimum 3 years in Sales / Business development in Qatar
  • Preferred UPDA License holders.
  • Experience in sales and the technology field.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, customer service, and sales skills.
  • Ability to relate technical information to non-technical customers.
  • Excellent technical and problem-solving skills.

Locations: Qatar

Type of Employment: Permanent / Full time

Salary: QAR 8,000 to QAR 12,000 + Sales commissions
