Are you a skilled Safety Officer with expertise in risk assessment, workplace safety, and HSE compliance and HSE management system? Do you have experience implementing HSSE policies and ensuring a safe work environment? If yes, then you are the one we are looking for!
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the focal point for safety information and guidance within the organization.
- Develop and implement HSSE policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Conduct HSE inductions and safety awareness training for employees.
- Organize and lead Toolbox Talks and safety meetings as per project requirements.
- Ensure full compliance with all HSE requirements on company projects.
- Prepare and obtain approval for HSE Plans, Risk Assessments, SOPs, and other safety documents as per project needs.
- Perform regular site inspections, audits, and safety drills to monitor compliance.
- Participate in joint safety meetings and collect feedback for continuous HSE improvement.
- Communicate HSE policies and objectives to employees and ensure implementation at all levels.
- Investigate and report accidents, injuries, fires, property damage, and other safety incidents, ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
- Check and ensure the proper use and maintenance of safety equipment such as PPE, fire extinguishers, and emergency response tools.
- Stay updated on environmental issues such as pollution control and waste management, recommending necessary control measures.
- Address non-conformance reports (NCRs) and confirm remedial actions are carried out.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 safety standards and assist in internal audits.
- Support the organization in achieving and exceeding HSSE objectives.
- Perform any additional HSE-related tasks assigned by management
Required Qualification / Experience / Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree (Preferably MMUP/UPDA Certified).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Marine or Oil & Gas industries.
- Strong leadership, delegation, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent project management and budgeting skills.
- Ability to manage contracts, approvals, and site execution.
- Strong adaptability to changes, delays, or unexpected challenges.
- Proficiency in design development, project scheduling, and resource planning.
- Knowledge of construction activities, QHSE standards, and local regulations.
- Proficiency in MS Office and project management tools.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
