QA/QC Engineer

Job Brief:

Are you a skilled QA/QC Engineer with expertise in Quality and HSE management systems? Do you have strong auditing and compliance experience in ISO standards and the ability to implement continuous improvement? If yes then you are the one we are looking for!

Our client is seeking a QA/QC Engineer to join their team in Qatar. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and improving the Quality Management System (QMS) and HSE procedures to ensure compliance with international standards and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality & HSE Management:

• Develop and upgrade the existing QMS to comply with the latest ISO requirements.
• Ensure implementation and maintenance of the Integrated Management System (IMS).
• Conduct internal audits, management review meetings, and corrective/preventive action plans.
• Ensure the safekeeping of all quality manuals, procedures, work instructions, and related records.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in QMS and recommend them to management.

Compliance & Auditing:

• Ensure all projects comply with company policies, client requirements, and Qatari legislation.
• Serve as the focal point for QHSSE-related matters, providing guidance and support.
• Conduct site inspections, audits, and drills to ensure compliance and identify improvement areas.
• Investigate accidents, injuries, and safety-related incidents, ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
• Follow up on non-conformance reports and confirm remedial actions are carried out.

Safety & Environmental Management:

• Develop and implement HSE policies, safe work practices, and emergency readiness plans.
• Conduct QHSSE inductions and awareness training for employees.
• Communicate QHSSE policies and objectives, ensuring alignment with team responsibilities.
• Stay updated on environmental issues such as pollution and waste management, implementing necessary control measures.

Training & Culture Development:

• Promote a strong quality and safety culture within the organization.
• Train project teams and auditors on ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 compliance.
• Implement continuous QHSE improvements and best practices within the company.

Required Qualification / Experience / Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Preferably IRCA-certified Lead Auditor).
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) management.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 (QMS), ISO 14001 (EMS), and ISO 45001 (H&S) standards.
• Proven expertise in auditing, compliance, and continuous improvement processes.
• Ability to detect deficiencies, implement corrective actions, and guide project teams.
• Excellent communication, technical, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle high-pressure environments effectively.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and QHSE management software.
