Project Manager

Are you an experienced Project Manager with expertise either in Oil & Gas or Marine or in Shipyard ? Do you have strong leadership and project management skills to oversee large-scale projects? If so, then you are the one we are looking for!

Our client is seeking a Project Manager to join their team in Qatar. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards. You will also manage resources, compliance, and team coordination to ensure successful project execution.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management:

• Manage major projects and ensure performance aligns with drawings, plans, specifications, and budgets.
• Oversee cost control activities and resource planning.
• Ensure compliance with HSE, quality, and HR, as well as Qatari legislation and client requirements.
• Continuously monitor and improve work productivity, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
• Lead project planning, scheduling, and progress monitoring.

Team Leadership & Coordination:

• Direct and supervise project teams, subcontractors, and consultants.
• Conduct regular team meetings to ensure alignment with project objectives.
• Act as the main point of contact between stakeholders, including clients, consultants, and contractors.

Quality Control & Compliance:

• Implement quality assurance and control procedures.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure adherence to industry standards and specifications.
• Address and rectify any non-conformance reports (NCRs) and safety observations.

Safety & Risk Management:

• Ensure compliance with project HSE policies and industry safety standards.
• Conduct safety briefings and enforce safety procedures.
• Investigate accidents and implement corrective actions.

Budget & Resource Management:

• Track project budgets and expenditures.
• Optimize resource utilization and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Ensure timely procurement and management of materials and equipment.

Contracts & Documentation:

• Manage contracts, follow up on valuations, and ensure timely approvals.
• Maintain project documentation, reports, and logs.
• Ensure all required permits and approvals are obtained.

Stakeholder Communication:

• Report project status, risks, and updates to the Managing Director and clients.
• Facilitate coordination between subcontractors, suppliers, and project teams.
• Attend project meetings and resolve any issues arising.

Required Qualification / Experience / Skills:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Preferably MMUP/UPDA Certified).
• Minimum 10 years of experience in Marine or Oil & Gas industries.
• Strong leadership, delegation, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent project management and budgeting skills.
• Ability to manage contracts, approvals, and site execution.
• Strong adaptability to changes, delays, or unexpected challenges.
• Proficiency in design development, project scheduling, and resource planning.
• Knowledge of construction activities, QHSE standards, and local regulations.
• Proficiency in MS Office and project management tools.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Job Location: Qatar

Type of Employment: Permanent / Full time

Salary: up to  QAR 25,000 (Full Package)
