Accountant

Job Brief:

Are you an experienced General Accountant with a strong financial management and compliance background? Do you have a proven track record in the maritime or trading industry? If so, you are the one we are looking for!

The ideal candidate will manage financial transactions, prepare reports, and ensure compliance within our dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports according to company policies.
• Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy in financial transactions.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Monitor and analyze financial performance against budget and forecasts.
• Prepare and submit VAT returns, ensuring compliance with UAE regulations.
• Collaborate with internal teams to support budgeting and financial planning activities.
• Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation to external auditors.
• Ensure timely processing of invoices and payments.
• Maintain fixed asset registers and assist in inventory management.
• Identify areas for process improvement and implement best practices.

Required Qualification / Experience / Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Must be fluent in English.
• Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, specifically within the maritime or trading industry in the UAE.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders.

Type of Employment: Permanent / Full time

Salary: AED 4000 – to 5000/ Month
