Site Civil Engineer (Oil and Gas)

Job Brief:

Are you an experienced civil engineer with experience in Oil & Gas projects? Do you have strong site supervision skills and the ability to ensure compliance with HSE, QA, and productivity targets? If yes, then you  are the one we are looking for you!

Our client is seeking a Site Civil Engineer to join their team in Qatar. In this role, you will be responsible for supervising on-site construction activities, coordinating resources, ensuring safety compliance, and maintaining quality control throughout the project lifecycle

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare daily and weekly work targets.
• Allocate manpower and resources based on project requirements.
• Prepare and submit daily site reports.
• Issue materials to supervisors and subcontractors.
• Identify and request necessary tools and equipment for site activities.
• Conduct and attend inspections with consultants.
• Monitor and maintain high productivity levels, providing feedback to management.
• Raise Work Inspection Requests (WIR) and Material Inspection Requests (MIR) for quality assurance.
• Coordinate with the QA/QC team to address NCRs and SORs.
• Maintain records of concrete pouring logs.
• Monitor project progress in line with the approved schedule.
• Perform quantity take-offs for required materials.
• Follow up on material procurement and delivery schedules.
• Assist the Project Engineer in preparing method statements.
• Supervise subcontractors, ensuring quality and progress alignment.
• Ensure full compliance with project specifications and maintain up-to-date documentation.
• Implement and enforce HSE policies.
• Ensure all activities comply with company QHSE policies and objectives.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by the Project/Technical Manager.

Required Qualification / Experience / Skills:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
• MMUP/UPDA certification preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in Oil & Gas projects.
• Strong supervisory, coordination, and leadership skills.
• Expertise in site supervision, quality control, and workforce management.
• Knowledge of local authority regulations, industry standards, and market practices.
• Ability to work efficiently under high-pressure environments.
• Proficiency in MS Office and other relevant engineering tools.
• Strong communication and technical skills.
