We are seeking skilled Quality Control Inspectors for Pipeline Coating industry. The ideal candidate must be Aramco-certified, hold a Mechanical Engineering degree (or similar qualification), and possess NACE or BAGS certification. This role requires a keen eye for detail, adherence to industry standards, and a strong commitment to ensuring the highest quality in pipeline coatings. You shall be able to work in offshore as well as onshore projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct quality inspections of pipeline coating applications to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards (NACE, SSPC, API, Aramco standards).
- Verify surface preparation, coating application, and curing processes meet required technical standards.
- Perform adhesion tests, thickness measurements, holiday testing, and other coating inspection methods.
- Document and report non-conformities, initiate corrective actions, and work with the production team to resolve quality issues.
- Ensure compliance with Aramco, NACE, and other international quality standards for protective coatings and corrosion prevention.
- Conduct audits and inspections at various stages of the coating process and maintain detailed inspection records.
- Assist in the review and approval of coating procedures, material certifications, and quality control documentation.
- Monitor and enforce HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) regulations in the workplace.
- Liaise with clients, third-party inspectors, and regulatory bodies during audits and inspections.
- Stay updated on new coating technologies, inspection techniques, and industry best practices.
Required Qualification / Experience / Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in the pipeline coating industry.
- Aramco Certified Inspector (Mandatory)
NACE Level 1, 2, or 3 OR BAGS Certification (Preferred)
Technical Knowledge: - Expertise in coating materials (FBE, 3LPE, 3LPP, liquid coatings).
- Proficiency in inspection techniques such as DFT (Dry Film Thickness), holiday detection, adhesion testing, and surface profile measurement.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, standards, and specifications.
- Excellent report writing and documentation skills.
- Ability to work in challenging environments (outdoors, field sites, confined spaces, high-temperature areas).
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with multidisciplinary teams.
