Drilling Engineer

Job Brief:

Are you a skilled and experienced drilling engineer looking for an exciting challenge in the oil and gas industry? We are seeking a Senior Drilling Engineer to join our client’s team and lead the development and execution of our client’s drilling projects. This role is office-based role and support the Iraq based projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and oversee drilling plans, including well design, drilling programs, and budgets for exploratory and development wells.
• Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments to evaluate drilling operations and ensure adherence to safety and environmental standards.
• Collaborate with geologists and reservoir engineers to integrate geological data into drilling plans for optimal well placement.
• Select and coordinate the use of drilling equipment and technologies, ensuring efficiency and safety throughout the drilling process.

Required Qualification / Experience / Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field, Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in drilling engineering within the oil and gas industry.
• Knowledge of drilling techniques, technologies, and best practices both for onshore and offshore fields.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
